The steps, in writing.
Under Administration, Library lists every title with its copies on the shelf. Add a book (title, author, category, copies, shelf), lend it with Checkout (the due date fills in two weeks ahead, and Akadaa refuses to lend the same student the same book twice), and take late books back from Overdue, which shows the days late and the fine so far. The demo uses fifty naira a day; an administrator can change the rate under Settings, Modules. Fines stay separate from school fees: review the amount before returning the book, collect it at the desk and mark it paid. Students see their loans and fines under Library.
Add a book
Open Library and add the title, author, category, number of copies and shelf details.
Lend a copy
Choose Checkout, find the student and check the due date, which defaults to two weeks ahead. The same student cannot borrow the same book twice at once.
Return overdue books
Open Overdue and record the return. Review the late fine and mark it paid only after collection at the desk. Library fines are separate from school-fee payments. An administrator can change the daily rate under Settings, Modules.
Check the student view
The student’s Library page shows current loans, due dates and unpaid fines.
